To Rob's comment on Feb 19th, my son would not sleep unless he was held or close by mom or dad. We were unable to let him cry it out so we let him sleep with us. It has worked out fine. We all get plenty of sleep and he nurses as much as he needs to at night. We did not plan to have a family bed but we are still happy waking up together two and a half years later. Good luck on whatever you find works for you, Jeannette
