My 7 week old baby is the same. I finally figured out that if I swaddle him, he sleeps better...his hands don't wake him up. His hands also claws at this face and he scratches himself. I'm hoping it'll stop when he can control his hand motions. He's also an active and alert baby during the day. When he was in the womb, he was moving a lot.
