Don't feel bad. We've had the same issue since our 5 month old son was born. At 4 months we finally brought him into our bed. I believe some babies just need more contact. He will not sleep unless we are holding him or he is sleeping close to us. Nursing is so much easoer during the night too! I say "do whatever works." We couldn't let him "cry it out" either. Too heartbreakiing!
