Oversleeping Infant

Can an infant get too much sleep? My 14 week old ocassionally sleeps as much as 12 hours straight! Is this normal? Also her skull is getting shaped poorly at the back of the head, is this due to too much sleep? I don't know what to do! Doc says don't worry about the shape of the head but how can I not.
