12 hours is a long time for a 14 week old to sleep with out eating. I quietly wake her after 8 hours and try to get her to nurse or take a bottle. Regarding the shape of her head, I can't believe the doc said not to worry about it. That is from being on her back too much. Once the head starts to harden, it won't round out - so I would start to put her on her side. Of course, I am not a doctor - so you may want to get a second medical opinion about the sleeping and about the head thing.
