I have an 8 week old, and have found that if I keep her in our family room for her naps during the day (in a bassinet), it has helped. She hears the tv, her sibling and her sibling's friends, as well as family activity - cooking, cleaning, etc. At night, all is dark & quiet. When I wake to feed her, i only whisper to her, and make sure everything is quiet. I have found that this has helped us. Good luck.
