My baby is seven months now and she was the same way.My doctor told me the same thing and I was breast feeding .I thought she would stop when she was full.My mistakeI also used formula when I dried up .Simalac also makes a low-irom formula
When my son was about 3months I switched to Simulac W/ iron, but the iron made him constipated
Now my daughter is using simulac w/ low iron, and does not seem to have problem w/ it. It is suposed to be closer to mothers milk . I would maybe think about trying it
My dotctor also told not to sit a baby up while feeding it can make thier inside kind of like crimp . With my daughter I put a pillow under her behindso that she was not bent in the middle.
A baby can wait to make a bowel movement for 5 days after that they say it should be seen a doctor.I would take it in around 4 days.
When my kids got constipated I would rub thier tummy. It seem to make them more comfortable ,and seemed to help them go potty.
Don`t feel bad about being a knew mom we all were once .Shot I think the doctors in my home town dreaded being on call knowing I was going to call all frantic. We all went though it
Good Luck
