I know EXACTLY what you're going through! My son is 17 weeks old and his colic is just starting to let up. My problem now is getting him to take naps on his own...he won't nap unless being held. It seems like there is one problem after another that we face and try to get through and I'm exhausted too! The only thing I found that worked for sleeping when our son was at his worst with colic was to let him sleep with us. I swore up and down that "no kid of mine would be sleeping in MY bed with my husband and me", but when you're desperate, you give in. We spent countless nights with our son sleeping on our chests. He would wake up and cry in pain many, many nights! We often would help him relieve some of his gas by pushing his legs up. Something that you may want to consider for a colicky baby is seeing a chiropractor. We didn't do that until our son was about 11-12 weeks old, because we were too afraid to try something non-traditional. But when our family doctor and peditrician gave us no help, we kept looking and decided to go for it. I think it helped our son a lot and wish we had done it earlier. I won't go into detail here on how the chiropractor helped us, but if your interested I'll let you know later. I also have lots of other things we did with our son when he was extremely colicky that I can tell you about if interested too.
