Posted by LaDonna on July 31, 2000 at 16:07:19:We are first time parents with a 14 week old son, I just bought the Baby Wise book but, don't know where to start at this point. He sleeps from 9pm to 4-5 am & eats 4 oz at that time, he takes 3-4, 30-40 min naps during the day & usually eats 6-7 4 oz bottles of formula daily, sometimes he will eat oz. We have to give him a pacifier & rock him to sleep while he cries for several min for naps but, at night he falls asleep while eating & then we rock him before putting him in bed. He can also roll over from his back to stomach now. This morning I let him cry himself to sleep for his am nap, it took 20 min & he ended up on his stomach so, I let him sleep for 10 min then turned him to his side & he stayed asleep. This afternood I tried the same thing & he woke up & started crying all over again. What should I do when he falls asleep on his stomach & if he wakes up crying soon after falling asleep.
We would appreciate a sample routine for a day of other babies that are around this age & what we should do this late in the game to get started with the Baby Wise program.
We will appreciate any replies!!
