I would keep waking him for at least a few more months, although if you want to stretch it to 4 hours, if he is eating a lot during the day, that might be OK. You could call your pediatrician and see what he/she says. One month is WAY too young to be sleeping 12 hours at a stretch. Some babies need prodding to eat, it is a personality trait. They tend to be more laid back in general. :-)
