Hi,
Reading your story was like reading my own!! My son is now 30 months. He still wakes frequently. After a lot of research on sleep disorders I learned a few crucial things. Realizing that things like mouth breathing and 10-20 second periods of not breathing during sleep -which I took for granted as being normal -were not, I was able to observe my son during sleep and actually pick up on a few abnormalities (by the way, much easier to do if they are sleeping with you!) that my pediatrician couldn't 'fluff off'. Although I had to insist on a referral to see a Neuorologist specializing in sleep disorders, - 8 months later we are anxiously and frustratedly waiting for appointments etc. However, the Neuorologist has at least aknowledged our concerns and is investigating further.
Don't give up!
