According to the AAP, a 1 month old should NOT go longer than 4 hours without a feeding. Some babies are just more laid back and need to be wakened to nurse. I would definitely wake him. If he is gaining well, then you can probably stretch it to 5 hours by 3 months if he isn't waking on his own. YES, wake that sleepyhead! :-)
