giving baby bottle when she cant sleep?

i have a 2 week old daughter who has very eratic sleep habbits. she tends to stay awake for up to 5 hours a day and is very alert when she does so. the problem is when she is tired we give her a bottle to help put her to sleep and are very worried about over feeding her...she has a bad case of her mouth being bigger than her stomach. how much food should i give her at once and in how long of interveals?
