Its a very easy - and very natural - thing to do, giving a baby a bottle to help soothe them to sleep.

At two weeks, she probably only needs about 4/5oz of formula every 3/4 hours. In truth, she will let YOU know exactly when she wants fed.

Its good idea to let her fall asleep on her own, ie without the aid of the bottle, as she will learn that the bottle means sleep and will not be able to fall asleep without it - this will be a major pain in the rear in a few months time.

Babies are a bit like goldfish!! They forget when they were last fed and so will continue to except food until they burst!! Its a good idea for you and mum to exert a little authority and feed her only when she needs it, not just when she is tired.
