I know exactly how you feel. My 14 week old was the same way up until 11 weeks. One day she turned into this perfect baby!! I am enjoying her soooo much now, and am much more relaxed around her. I hate to say it, but just give it time. It WILL get better.

You may want to try placing him on his stomach during nap time when you can keep your eye on him. I know your not supposed to with SIDS, but, if your watching him I don't see why not. My daughter hates sleeping on her back, plus she has reflux and spits up often. When she is on her stomach, she can get her fist in her mouth and calm herself, then we just pat her butt for a few minutes and off to lala land she goes. I also realized she would cry when she was bored. We put her in her carseat one day, with one of those activity gyms over her, and a few minutes later she was batting at the toys--I was shocked. I didn't think babies that small played with toys. Now its her favorite thing to do. She will play for 1/2 hour before needing a change of scenery.

If you are anything like I was, you are probably reading every sleep article on the internet and buying books about sleep, and getting yourself more worked up than you should. One bit of advice....throw it all away, your baby is a one-of-a-kind and there is no magical cure. So for now, just sit back with your baby snuggled in your arms and watch some TV while he snoozes--forget about the laundry.

Take care--it gets better.
