If you don't plan to have her co-sleep, it would probably be better to try and soothe her back to sleep in her room rather than bring her into your bed. It may create a battle later if she gets used to being in your bed and that's not your (or your husband's) preference. Some "preventative" strategies- try some white noise- either buy a "sound machine" (I got one at KMart by Homedics for $20) or use a humidifier/fan that makes white noise. You could put this on at night when she goes to bed and it may help her get back to sleep when she wakes. (And help block out noises in the house while she sleeps). If she can get herself to sleep at bedtime, she may be able to get herself back to sleep when she wakes. As long as she doesn't wake screaming, you could give her a few minutes to see if she could settle back to sleep. If you do need to go in to her, maybe try to rub her back or sing to her without getting her out of the crib.....
