11 month old won't sleep through the night in crib

Posted by ALR on November 01, 2001 at 14:19:40:

My 11 month old girl will not sleep through the night in her own crib. She will sleep fine during the day during her naps, but at night she awakens after maybe one - two hours of sleep to join sleep with us. We thought she might be scared of the dark so we got her a night lite, but that wasn't it. We know she shouldn't be sleeping with us, but she will just stand in her crib and cry until we get her. We also tried letting her cry, but she can out last us in that department, and I mean it we let her cry sometimes for atleast 30 minutes. She sleeps in the same room with us because we only have a one bedroom but are looking for a two. We think if she is in her own room she will sleep. Does anyone have any helpful tips for right now until we move so me and my wife can get a good night sleep, because my little girl is a puncher, kicker and scoot under you sleeper if you know what I mean.
