We had the exact same question, he says in his book don't accept a half hour nap, but doesn't tell you how to deal with it. He does say that some babies don't mature in their sleeping till 5 or 6 months and I think that was our problem. See the post below 6 mo. old and 30 min nap for what we did with the problem.
