We found out about reflux only because a friend of mine had a child with it and she said what I was describing sounded just like her son. So I asked my doctor to test him for it and it turned out that he did have it. We had been through a number of formula changes thinking that it was a milk protein allergy but his symptoms always remained. If you want to learn more about it type "infant reflux" into any search engine and lots of informational sites will pop up. I have to say that since the Zantac and allowing him to sleep on his tummy (lots of reflux babies sleep much better this way although it does make me very nervous) I have been surprised at the change. The best thing I did was read "The Babywhisperer" Now that we have resolved the medical issue and implemented some of these sleep strategies he is taking much better naps during the day and even sleeping a little longer at night. Good Luck!
