Babywise advice linked to dehydration, failure to thrive
The FDA has also put out warnings about using his method. Babies do not develop a circadian rhythm until they are 3 to 6 months old. Until it is developed, babies need to be fed when they are hungry, sleep when they are sleepy, and held and loved when they need it comforting.
Yes you are going to lose sleep for a few months. That comes with being a new parent. It will not last forever. These are your babies, why try any potentially harmful advice and take the chance you are harming your baby.
They need love and understanding. The truth is as their circadian rhythm develops there schedule for eating and sleeping will develop as well and they will begin sleep more at night and eat more during the day.
Be especially kind to your babies during these trying times. They are very sensitive and can pick up things and feelings going on around them.
Comfort them, not schedule them.
