My son who is now six months old, slept in his bouncy seat until he was 3 months old. He has reflux and being positioned upright seemed to help him sleep. Our pediatrician said not to worry that it was fine for him to sleep in his bouncy seat or car seat if that made him more comfortable and that we could try the crib periodically. We did that and at 3 months he just started sleeping in his crib.
