This early waking is common for that age. It will change by itself in the months coming. There is no point letting the child wait and cry in his crib on the hope that he will fall back to sleep. He won't! This is his time to start the day.
When he will be older, he will learn to wait by playing a while in his crib, but he is too young for that now.
