My daughter is 4 1/2 months and we were having the same problem but only 30 minutes of napping on the dot!!! She was always tired and cranky. I thought I would go crazy, We tried everything from feeding her upon waking even if she didnt appear hungry ( no hunger cues) to other methods best not discussed on forum. NOthing worked, until I put her on her tummy. For some reason she has not matured in her sleep cycles to keep from waking at the transition of one sleep cycle to another, Ive read this occurs between 30 and 45 minutes. She would startle kick her legs and that was it. Screaming commenced due to her lack of good sleep. now on her tummy she naps well. Some are still 45 minutes but we have naps at 1 1/2 hours some 2 hours. This has been such a blessing. Now she is rested and such a pleasant baby. Talk to peditrican about tummy sleeping if interested, we got the ok at her 4 month checkup. I also removed bumper to increase air flow into crib. She has only rolled over a couple of times into side of crib and that is upon waking up. THere are also special mattriess covers that can block any toxins, molds etc . from reachig the baby from the mattress. just a thought, but this has worked wonders, she is just a tummy sleeper. I do monitor her closely during the day and would put her on back at night. NOw she refuses to sleepp on her back at all. So my husband and I have done what we can to help her and then we prayed for God to protect her. Night sleep is still not great but she doesnt wake after 30 minutes and getting her back to sleep at night is a cinch on her tummy.
