I have read and follow the DR. you sited in your post. My son is 3.5 months old and goes down for his naps by "Method A" (use the fisher price aquarium as his consistent routine). He had also developed a pattern of waking after 45 minutes or so. I finally figured out last week, that if I don't go to him immediately when he wakes from his 2nd nap of the day he falls back to sleep and will stay asleep for another 1-2 hours. He is much happier now.
