Evie...I hate to hear that you are having such a hard time!!! As I always tell my son "It is a good thing that you are so dog gone cute or I would sell you to the gypsies!!!" Knock on wood...I have not had problem with night sleep, but as you know things change everyday so who knows! I am definitely not an expert, but I was wondering if you had read the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child...really good book. Per everything that I have read, your daughter should not need to eat every 2 hours at night. That being said...they do go through a growth spurt at about 6 months...could that be the cause??? If it is then you could remedy it by feeding her more frequently during the day for a few days and see if this helps the nights. I did read that you should not extend the day time feeding interval until they are sleeping at least 7 to 9 hours a night. PS. I basically gave up on the nap thing. When he is tired I put him down and just know that he will be up in 45 minutes. If he is completely exhausted when he wakes up I put him in the swing to fall asleep...big no no, but most of the time he sleeps in the crib and goes down with little to no crying. Of course I had to change him to a 2.5 hour schedule and 2 hours the last 2 feedings. Not what the books tell you to do, but it is working and we are both happier!
Best of luck!
