6 wk old, can they have night terrors?

Posted by Beth on May 04, 2002 at 12:24:10:

After placing our 6 week old down for her nap/sleep, she will start fussing, as we look in on her she will have her eyes open, with her arms and legs kicking, yet she does not react to us. It appears she is sleep-walking/dreaming (to young to walk). If we pick her up she calms down slightly, but continues to fuss and kick. The worst part is that she seems to look right through us and this has gone on for up to 1 hour. We can not seem to wake her or get her to calmdown or sleep. She has her days and nights mixed up. And, this normally happens during the night time hours.
Has this ever happened to any of you?

Thanks, Beth
