Posted by confused mommy on May 14, 2002 at 08:05:20:Hi All,
Questions; I have a 4 month old son who has just recently started to sleep thru the night. About 11-12 hours or so. This is wonderful. My question is this. Just about an hour to hour and a half after waking he starts to bat at his right ear and rub his eyes. I am reading this as he is tired. I soothe him and put him down for a nap. He may sleep about 45 minutes and wakes up crying. I go get him. Within a very short period of time he is fussy, batting at his ear and rubbing his eyes again. Again nap. sometimes over and over. Am I going in to quickly or do we have a problem with transitioning. This morning he awake at 6am. batting at 7:15, asleep till 8am, crying and went in to get him. Starting batting and rubbing as sson as I got up out of the crib, fell back to sleep in my arms and slept till 10:30 when he again woke up crying. Did not want to nurse when he got up. so I do not think that it is hunger. As I sit here typing he is yawning and fussy. Any input or observations would be helpful. This is getting frusturating and alittle worrisome for the baby. Thanks alot.
