I think he just dropped that third nap on his own around 6 months, and then his two remaining naps got longer. The way I understand it, babies become more efficient nappers naturally. Instead of taking lots of short naps, they take fewer longer naps as they grow. If Robby doesn't drop that third nap on his own, you could try keeping him up, and after a few days he should become adjusted.

To answer your question about the early morning risings, we have not had much luck getting him to sleep later. There are not too many mornings when he wakes before 6:00 so its not that bad.

My friend's baby has never slept past 5:00 a.m. and he is about 18 months old. So, the pain of waking early is all relative!
