QUESTION FOR SUE

Posted by eVIE on May 20, 2002 at 09:06:20:

Sue,
You mentioned that you have done some research on waketimes for infants... my 7 month old daughter is having a napping problem, which too me is a sleep problem. She used to do this until she was @ 5or 6 months old..then she stopped.now we are back to the problem...waking 30 minutes into a nap and refusing to go back to sleep. 30 minutes on the DOT! its sorta freaky how predictable this is. Thought it might be too long of wakefulness but she is almost 8 months and should be able to pull 2 hours? She is now sleeping great at night...down around 6:30, feed her at 10 and up @6. But with no napping, or at least no restorative napping, she becomes almost out of control by 4 in the afternoon and so last night we put her to bed at 5:30. She went straight to sleep and didnt make a peep all night..but she awoke at 5:00am. THis seems so early and I dont wont her to start sleeping from 4 to 4 because she cant nap..any ideas? this problem has been plaguing her since day one..never a good sleeper...always so alert,..even in hospital she wouldn't sleep.
THanks for any input,
Evie
