Help with 2 year old

Posted by tired mum on May 21, 2002 at 08:33:12:

Help. My 2 year old will not sleep at night. I have a battle to try to get him to bed usually around 7.30-8pm, lately a friend has had to help me because when I go to my son he gets out of bed and will not go back. Usually falls asleep around 10.30ish, awake by 12.30-1am asking for juice, I try not to give it but after 2 hours of being up I have to give in. A usual night consists of about 4 hours sleep for me broken into 2 stages - 10.30 - 1 and 4-5.30. I have tried the controlled crying technique with no success and getting to the end of my tether. I am feeling very alone at the moment even though my husband tries to help when he can. I also work full time and finding it very difficult to cope. Already on anti-depressants. Does anyone have this problem, please tell me I'm not alone and what else can I do?
