We've been following Weissbluth's book since our DD was young. She generally wakes at 7AM, naps a few times a day for 45 min-1 h and goes to bed 6-6:30PM with one awakening at night to eat. We do our bedtime routine, put her to bed and leave and it's been working pretty well.

She's been in a hip spica cast for 10 weeks (comes out in just over 1 week-yay!) and had sleep troubles right after each cast application and is starting again. Last night she went to bed (without a peep) at 6:30, woke shrieking at 11PM (DH gave her a paci and she went right back to sleep) then slept until she started talking around 5:30. She was in and out of sleep until about 7.

I'm afraid not to help soothe her since she's in the cast- I think it's starting to bug her- she REALLY wants to sit up and roll over!

Any suggestions?
