I have a baby who is 4 1/2 months old. She takes a 2 hour nap at 10:30 and another hour and a half or so nap around 2 or 3. She has established this schedule herself, and is pretty much the same every day. We have tried to put her down for the night at 8, only to have her wake an hour later, and not go back to sleep until 10. THEN, she will wake up around midnight, 2:30, and again around 4:15. She does this nightly. She wakes at each time and will eat 3-4 oz, and go back to sleep easily. I am feeding her breastmilk from a bottle and supplementing with formula occasionally. I have tried 2 times in the past week and a half to start her on rice cereal, but she is not showing interest yet, so we will wait another few days and try again. We even put a small amount in her bottle to try to help her sleep, but there was no change. So, we stopped. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal? She weighs 15 lbs, and is 25 1/2 inches long. She will be 21 weeks on Monday. What should I do? Please help...suggestions??
