Posted by jasterz on February 06, 2007 at 12:48:41:My 6 month old has never been a good napper, but things really started to go downhill when she was about 4 months old. She only naps for short periods - 30 minutes if I am lucky. She seems tired throughout the day and is frequently rubbing her eyes after only being up for a short time.
I want to start nap training soon. I'm planning to follow the Weissbluth method (leave her in her crib for 1 hour at a time), but I'm not sure at what times to put her down. Will 9am/1pm/late afternoon still work for me, even if she only sleeps for 20-30 minutes at the 9am nap and is tired well before 1pm?
Also, how much time should I give the training? I was planning on 2 weeks (if I can stand it that long) - is that enough time to see improvement?
