Thanks for the response. I don't think it could be GERD related, as we have been supplementing her feeding with formula since we were discharged from the hospital. She eats without any issue at all during the day, but it seems as soon as we are getting her ready for bed, she starts to cry. Prior to 3 or so weeks ago, she would generally fall asleep on the bottle or breast, and then we would just put her in the bassinet and she would sleep fine.
There really isn't any schedule to her feedings during the day - we feed her whenever she starts showing the signs (about every 2-3 hours). When we get her ready for bed, we just want to make sure she's "topped off", but generally it's been a couple hours since her last feeding.
I've read the Infant Info page, and several other websites, and they all pretty much deliver the same message regarding CIO - which is not what my wife and I wanted to do anyway.
Assuming there are no medical issues, is 3 months too young to try leaving her in her crib for a few minutes (likely crying) and reassuring her / talking / shushing / etc... every 5 minutes or so, so she learns to calm herself down and sleep on her own? We are just really worried we are doing more harm than good by carrying her around until she falls asleep.
Thanks in advance.
