My son, 15 1/2 months old, doesn't sleep through the night. He had really bad colic for the first 3 1/2 months and has slept in our bed since birth. I still breastfeed and for the past 10 months (some nights better than others) he starts tossing and turning, his face contorts as if in pain and he starts to whimper which eventually leads to crying. I always offer breastfeeding to soothe him and this works most of the time. However, he also often latches onto my breast, pulls off then starts clawing at my top to get to my breast again. I love breastfeeding him and we don't mind sharing the bed with him for now (these aren't the problems) the problems are what makes him restless and cry out and latch on and let go only to want to latch on again (this is what disrupts my sleep).

Thanks

P.S. - I don't believe in the Ferber method so please don't even offer this as a solution!
