Posted by Sleepy Mom on June 05, 2007 at 11:51:43:I have a 10 month old baby boy who is not sleeping at night. I think my husband and I created the problem early on as he was a little premature, developed RSV and has had respiratory problems and ear infections since. He has gotten used to falling asleep in our arms and sleeping in the bed with us so we could attend to him when he had caughing or wheezing fits in the the middle of the night. He is on an asthma/allergy medicine now and the Doctor says he is healthy. We have been trying to get him to sleep in his crib for months. We have been trying to let him cry it out and go in every 10 minutes to comfrt him, but nothing seems to be working. Now that he can pull up in his crib he gets worked up and either throws up or falls over and hits his head on the crib railings. My husband and I both work and we are finding it harder and harder to function during the day at work with the large amount of sleep loss that we are experiencing. Any suggestions? We are at our wits end.
