I have a 18 month old daughter and a 5 month old son...this is a whole mixed bag of problems, so i will be posting in other areas...lol....first my daughter..she goes to bed at 8pm, and she sleeps through the night ever since birth...but in the last 8 months or so,it seems like she never has a peaceful sleep. Every night she tosses and turn and whines and about 2-3 times a week she'll actually wake up at around 11pm on the dot it seems and just start screaming....you can tell she's not awake yet, so i just hold her until she calms down and then she goes right back to sleep...i feel so bad for her. i just wish she could sleep without sounding distressed in any way....secondly, my son...he's five months old and he will not sleep through the night...i've come to terms with the fact that he's just the sort of baby that needs a night time feeding. i'm not breastfeeding and haven't since he was 6 weeks old. I wouldn't mind so much with him waking up 1-3 times a night, except that (which brings me to my next problem...is I can't sleep at night....it takes me at LEAST 30 minutes to fall asleep each time i'm woken up. My mind is just constantly reeling and my legs feel like they have to constantly be moving...like i need to kick or run a marathon or something...it's terrible....and it's starting to really catch up to me. i'm maybe getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night, but not solid sleep...4 hours in total through all the waking up at night. is there any methods to get my son to sleep at night? cause i think if, once i do fall asleep the first time when i initially go to bed i can sleep through till morning no problem...it still takes a while to fall asleep, but if i wasn't woken up all the time through the night i don't think it would be such a problem. does anyone have any advice for me? my daily life is being effected by this....having an 18 month old with so much energy, it's hard to keep up with her, and i'm starting to feel as if i'm not giving her the quality of life she deserves....and for my son...i mean they have a great life and i treat them well, but i can barely get my butt into the shower and take them outside to play, cause all i want to do is sit on the couch cause i'm exhausted all day long....what do i do?
