what's a "dream feed"? are you just feeding him even if he hasn't woken up? how are you doing this? by just putting the bottle/breast in his mouth and allowing him to eat, and then just drift off back to sleep? if this is the case are you not burping him then? and if this is so, maybe it could be gas? if this isn't the case, maybe he's having dreams or something that startle him...my daughter would do that sometimes....just start wailing, and then she'd be sleeping like nothing happened.
