I have a 9 week old baby who is a doll. Until about 3 weeks ago he was taking great naps, nursing almost every 3 hours on the dot, and getting close to sleeping through the night. But around 7 weeks he started waking up 30 minutes into every nap, and his nighttime sleep has regressed too. I have decreased his awake time and done just about everything that Dr.Weissbluth recommends, and now he is at the point where when I lay him down, he lays in his crib talking to himself for up to an hour, then cries, then may fall asleep, but no matter when or how he falls asleep he wakes up 30 minutes into the nap ON THE NOSE. You could set a timer to it. He has not had any naps in days, but at night he settles down. And, he is pretty much as content as could be. He has had a few naps in the swing, but I don't want to start that habit. WHAT GIVES?? Will he ever nap again??
