I took Xanax for 4 years. I would take 1/2 of a .05 mg. tablet(the peach one). It worked very well for me, but my previous dr. decided I nedded to be off of it and now I can't sleep. I used over the counter stuff for a while but I became immune. With Xanax I did not become imune to it. I have gone as many as 3 days without sleep and still had t take the xanax at midnight the 3rd day.
When I do not take any or enough xanax and I do fall asleep I have VERY weird or frighteneng dreams. It seems as if my mind just will not slow down. If I could accomplish something magnificent when I can't sleep, it would not be so bad!
