Let your cup runneth over

So you're beaten and bruised and about to give up,
but wait, take a second look at your cup.
Is it half empty as the world would have you assume,
or are you filling it slowly, as not to take up all the room.

What lies within your own special cup;
love, joy, tenderness...what?
That’s not for me to decide, it’s for you.
It’s not for others to decide, it’s for you.
Because deep within I know somewhere,
there dwells someone special I know who cares.

Listen not to those who would have your cup run dry,
be proud of who you are, stand tall,
wipe that tear from your eye.
You’re important, you have value and greatness within.
Come on my friend fill your cup to the rim.

You’ve got talents, abilities and dreams galore.
So don’t worry if your cup runneth over
and spills on the floor.
