Posted by Scott Bell on November 30, 1998 at 09:34:33:I've discovered, after 6-1/2 years with chronic insomnia, a little trick that has worked for me for the last week and a half. What I'm doing is not eating dinner in the evening and eating a large lunch during the day. This leaves your stomach enpty at bed time and allows for the medication to work much better. I had built up a tolerance to my meds. and this "trick" seems to work well for me. The only downside that has occurred is being hungry when I go to bed. Of course I'd take the hunger over the insomnia any day!
Try it and you might even lose weight to boot!
