Very well addressed, Kevin. More and more often I see the alpha-delta sleep anomaly ( ref. at “Help for my Wife”, a few posts below) occur and either completely ignored or coded as RLS, Essential Idiopathic Tremors, or any of the other catch-all’s. Maybe I can bounce a few questions off of you? Will, or does, an encephalogram catch this? And if so, what percentage of the time are the results conclusive enough for an accurate diagnosis. I get the feeling that the insurance companies do not feel the test justifies the diagnosis since the course of action would be the same anyway (e.g., 2mg clonazepam at bed). What are your thoughts on alternate courses of action given a firm diagnosis of alpha-delta sleep anomaly?
