Posted by Roger on December 02, 1998 at 16:05:39:What if the cause (or maybe one of the causes) of insomnia is the result of something traumatic that happened to us during sleep that our memories have managed to suppress?
Is it possible that this might explain those cases of insomnia where the onset was sudden, and not traced to any physical or mental problem?
Could it be that we are subconsciously resisting sleep in order to avoid a recurrence of a possibly frightening experience?
