Sorry to hear about your sleep problem. I've been having the same issue for about a year. It sounds like you haven't had this issue very long so it is a good time to get a handle on it. Please read through the success stories on the forum and also buy the two books mentioned (John Wiedman's "Desperately Seekin Snoozin" and Gregg Jacobs "Say Goodnight to Insomnia"). Please don't resort to drugs for a long-term solution. They just don't work. The only way out is through serious behavior modification. No one really wants to hear this since it is not a "magic pill" but I am convinced it truly is the only way. I would not spend money on sleep clinics, but would instead get a good phsychologist that specializes in insomnia. They should be able to teach you how to relax and sleep again. At the heart of this problem, is generally just the obsessive worry about not sleeping. As soon as you learn to control that, your sleep should improve. But this won't happen overnight. Perseverance and hard work are a must.
Good luck and sweet dreams.
