Hi!
Sorry not much advice to give you here, but I certainly relate. I have had and am currently experiencing a carbon copy insomnia problem such as yours. Your post is as if Id written it myself, including the part about my husband snoring, falling asleep in a minute or less, etc. He sleeps on a cot and I sleep in a bed in the same room, doesnt really seem to help though, if I have insomnia then I do, regardless of where my hubby sleeps. I believe I have insomnia due to anxiety. Even though I have no acute stresses in my life, I find ANY amount of anxiety internally, sets up a cycle of sleeplessness for me. Case in point: last wek I had 7 days of lovely sleep, sleep that would be normal or even a little choppy for a non sleep disordered person, but waas for me heavenly. 3 days ago I got upset about some stuff regarding career and my issue with wanting to lose 15 lbs of bodyfat and it sent me over the edge, now, I am having that ol' insomnia cycle back. It comes and goes, for over a year now. Just treat yourself well, eat healthy, exercise, meditiate and be nice to you. Take a pill if you relly really need to... but just know the insomnia gets better, even though it generally comes back.
Hope you sleep,
Heather
