Ellie,

I feel terrible for you. I have grappled with this problem for about a year now. In reading your post, your problem is not sleep but anxiety. I'm sure you've heard this before but it is true. You have to have to have to find a way around this anxiety. That is the only way. Please reread the posts from Jack on the Forums 1, 2, and 3 and get help with anxiety not sleep. Also, please reread Gregg Jacob's book regarding the physiology of sleep. Realize that no matter how hard you try, you will not fall asleep. So stop trying to do this and stop focusing on it. Instead, do things you like to do regardless of whether you slept. The sleep will come, you just have to believe this. You cannot force it!!

My prayers are with you. Sweet dreams!!
