I agree with Charlene. Many renowned psychiatrists now feel there is a spiritual solution to most of life's problems...to name a few, Dr. Gerald May, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, M.Scott Peck, M.D. I found great comfort in a lot of their works. The brain like most of the body can repair itself if conditions are favorable. Anxiety, stress and insomnia, however, exacerbate the attainment of good health.
Starting your recovery on the physical plane is the easiest because there's a format to follow....balanced meals, lots of water to drink, exercise, no caffeine or nicotine, etc. You not only get a physical sense of well-being but you begin to feel better about yourself and this leads to more positive thoughts which can only uplift your psyche. Now to ensure that you maintain this optimal level, a sense of security is required which can only be attained by spiritual work...which in turn guarantees peace of mind, a prerequisite for living in harmony with yourself. Why, even the president ends all his speeches with "God bless America"!!Hope you can find your way to serene living!!!P.S.The library is a good place to start to acquire info if you don't want to spend a lot!!!
