Sleep deprivation leads to emotional deterioration so that all sorts of creepy thoughts run through the mind. I went 6 months with maybe an hour a night....finally some meds worked for me and now a year and a half later I'm off all meds(they certainly served their purpose though) and sleeping 6to7hours per night. It was the worst two years of my life. Do persevere...follow the regimens of good health(eating well, no nicotene or caffeine) and also exercise. I also used relaxation tapes and did a lot of spiritual reading...just had to find some inner calm as insomnia upsets every part of us. I wish you a speedy recovery of good sleep and for what it's worth, know that you are definitely not alone in this!!
