First of all, you shouldn't worry if sleep is deep or shallow or whatever....just try to get your mind off it during the day. Go about your normal routine, eat properly, exercise, don't consume alcohol, smoke or drink coffee and try to stay as calm as possible when getting ready for bed...listen to your favorite music or something like that to relax you! Sleep will come when you're tired enough but not if you are too anxious about it. Reading before bedtime is helpful to a lot of people as well...take comfort that many people are insomniacs also and you are never alone!!!
